The outline of the center

In the Quantum Science and Engineering Center, we seek new principles in new phenomena, which are induced under extreme environment and are in situ observed by quantum beam. We also conduct basic study on nuclear fuel cycle, which is necessary for establishing nuclear energy system, utilizing quantum beam technology.

For these purpose, we study complex phenomena in nano meter scale region under extreme environment employing accelerated quantum beam, and proceed the basic study on nuclear fuel cycle technology including actinide science.

This center was established in April, 1999.
